John Denver is a popular artist and musician who has touched a lot of people by his lyrics. A lot of them were inspired by Colorado. Born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, he was in affection with Colorado and later settled in Aspen. Denver's anthems of fame about Colorado have been a major influence on many to move to the state. G. Brown of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame declares that John Denver is unlike any other artist who embodies Colorado. Denver was a member of the Hall of Fame as its first member in 2011. Denver is the symbol of Colorado for a lot of people across the globe. In all my travels I have met many people who are not from Colorado. They will beg, "Oh John Denver!" when they hear that you are from Colorado. Brown said. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's top 10 hits after performing with small folk music bands. It was co-written and performed by Bill Danoff. Danoff wrote the tune with the inspiration of Johnny Cash, but Denver discovered an early version and knew the song would be a top 10 hit. The song was recorded just a few weeks after the Washington D.C. performance.
